Leaves and Lizards Arenal Volcano Cabin Retreat is a small and intimate facility with 3 cabins, 2 bedroom house, 2 barns, and a main lodge situated on 26 acres of rolling hills with an unbelievable, panoramic view of the Arenal Volcano and the surrounding mountains and valley.

There is a stable of well trained and cared for horses, for private one of a kind trail rides through the Costa Rican countryside.

Guests are encouraged and often help with the morning chores such as; milking the cows, collecting eggs, grooming the horses and making cheese.

For travelers looking for an authentic Costa Rican experience off the beaten track, Leaves and Lizards offers an unforgettable and one of a kind vacation.

TTheir three cabins are perched on a hill with a tree house feel and offer spectacular, panoramic views of the Arenal Volcano. All cabins have similar views of Arenal.

The cabins do not have air conditioning, phones or television and are a 5 minute walk from the main house. Guests are welcome to use the phone and wireless internet at the main house at no extra charge.

The Heliconia House is lower and next to the main lodge and has air conditioning.

The cabins are built using environmentally sounds methods with nine different kinds of tropical hardwoods and each has: orthopedic Beds with 800 count Egyptian cotton sheets, coffee maker, mini-fridge, microwave, ceiling fans, games, robes, reference books, hot showers and spacious, private bathrooms.

NOTES:

Heliconia House rates do not include breakfast, however breakfast is available at an additional $10.00 per person per day with advance notice.
Check in at 1:00 pm and Check out at 11:00 am.
Free local calls and Wireless Internet are available at the main house.
Rates do not include taxes (13%).
Children under 5 years old free.
